AIG Insurance Stonestep App.

AIG Insurance tasked me with designing a micro-insurance app for a subsidiary called Stonestep. The brief was to deliver an experience that embraced Gamification of Journeys, Rewards and Mobile Payments.

Working with a group of Product Owners, Developers (offshore) and SME’s I successfully delivered, end to end, with branding, graphic design, UI Design, and UX best practices over a 3-month contract.

Registration.

Registration needed to be seamless, with the onboarding screens to define and describe the offering. The graphics needed to be representative of the product vertical and on brand throughout the whole journey.

What I learned

Social sign-on was a preferred option among users due the trust and credibility.

Products.

The products were defined using card sorting as Tech, Future, Home, and Events with subcategories within each product vertical. Journeys were defined and user tested for each vertical and the UI was designed to give a harmonious look and feel.

What I learned

When testing tasks with user the simplicity of the deign and journeys worked every time.

Rewards.

Part of the project was to gamify with rewards the purchase and upgrade of micro insurance products. This was totally new to the market and my experience in Gaming was pivotal to the success of this.

What I learned

Users were incentivised to go looking for additional products if notifications were enabled hence leveraging completion.
